Timber Creek Outdoors Billet Dust Cover Features The Timber Creek Outdoors Billet Dust Cover is machined from aircraft grade aluminum giving it greater rigidity and a more refined fit and finish compared to the factory stamped steel dust cover. This billet construction allows for a cleaner more precise action when the cover flips open during firing and snaps closed again when the bolt returns to battery. Protecting the ejection port from dirt debris and moisture the dust cover plays a small but important role in keeping the rifle s action running reliably in the field. Because it is a direct fit replacement it installs onto any Mil-Spec upper receiver without requiring gunsmithing or part modification. Finished in OD Green the billet dust cover gives AR builders an easy way to add a distinctive color accent to an otherwise black upper receiver. This finish pairs naturally with other OD Green Timber Creek Outdoors components for a cohesive build theme across the rifle. Despite its upgraded material and finish the dust cover retains the same functional fit and operation shooters expect from a standard AR-15 ejection port cover. For builders looking to combine function with a customized look this Timber Creek billet dust cover is a simple effective upgrade.
