Thompson Center Cleaning Patches Features The Thompson Center Cleaning Patches are made from 100 percent cotton a material chosen for its absorbency and gentle contact with the bore during cleaning. Sized at 2.5 inches in diameter these patches are designed primarily for .45 to .54 caliber muzzleloaders though Thompson Center notes they also work well with .375 to .45 caliber centerfire rifles and pistols. By offsetting the patch s position on the jag centering it or doubling the patch thickness shooters can adapt the single patch size to a variety of calibers and gauges. This flexibility means one pack of patches can serve multiple firearms in a shooter s collection. These general purpose dry patches work especially well with sabot bullets common in modern muzzleloading helping reduce fouling buildup that can affect accuracy over repeated shots. Regular use of these patches also helps prevent rust from forming in the bore after cleaning protecting the firearm s finish and function over time. Each pack contains 100 patches giving shooters enough supply for an extended cleaning routine across many range sessions or hunts. The Thompson Center Cleaning Patches are a simple dependable cleaning supply for any muzzleloader or compatible centerfire shooter s maintenance kit.
