Strike Industries Blast Shield Features The Strike Industries Blast Shield protects the shooter s thumb and face from muzzle blast and heat by redirecting it forward and upward away from the natural thumbs forward grip many shooters use on a chassis build. Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum the shield offers good thermal conductivity dissipating heat faster than a comparable steel part would. This hyper length version extends the Picatinny rail further than the standard Blast Shield creating enough room to mount both the SMC Spare Magazine Holder and a full size weapon light at the same time. That added rail space makes the shield especially useful on heavily accessorized competition or duty builds. Built primarily for the Strike Modular Chassis Alpha and Bravo the Blast Shield also fits most pistol frames carrying a 1913 Picatinny rail with a max width of 0.84 inches including the Sig Sauer P320. At 4.14 inches long 1.39 inches wide and 1.86 inches tall the shield adds minimal bulk while still delivering real protective coverage.
