Streamlight Speedlocker Security Cable Features The Streamlight Security Cable is purpose built as a 36 inch accessory for the SpeedLocker portable storage container giving owners a way to anchor the locker to a fixed point rather than relying on the container s own weight for security. This matters most in vehicle use where a SpeedLocker secured only by its own construction could otherwise be removed entirely by an opportunistic thief. Looping the cable through a seat frame cargo tie down or other fixed anchor point keeps the locked container attached to the vehicle even if someone attempts to take it. The cable s weatherproof construction means it can remain installed through exposure to rain humidity and temperature swings without breaking down. Pairing this cable with the SpeedLocker s mechanical keypad lock which offers 31 user programmable combinations and requires no batteries creates a layered security approach for firearms or valuables stored on the go. The SpeedLocker itself is built from rugged hard shell polymer with a foam insert to protect contents and this cable extends that protection against the locker simply being carried away. At 36 inches the cable offers enough reach to secure the unit to a variety of anchor points without being so long that it becomes unwieldy to store or deploy. For anyone who already owns or is purchasing a Streamlight SpeedLocker this cable is a straightforward way to add meaningful theft resistance.
