Streamlight SpeedLocker Features The Streamlight SpeedLocker relies on a patented mechanical keypad rather than an electronic lock meaning there are no batteries to recharge or replace and no risk of a dead battery locking out access at an inconvenient moment. With 21 user programmable lock combinations the owner can set a personal code and change it as needed giving a level of customization typically reserved for electronic safes. The mechanical design provides fast direct one handed access which matters when quick retrieval of a stored firearm or valuable is the priority. Built from durable high impact polypropylene the SpeedLocker resists cracking and holds up to repeated daily use in a vehicle or at home. Measuring 12.4 inches in length 8.2 inches in width and 2.78 inches in height and weighing roughly 2.6 pounds empty the SpeedLocker is compact enough to fit in a glove box under a car seat or in a travel bag while still providing enough interior room for various compact firearm models. The container is water resistant adding a layer of protection against moisture during travel or storage in less than ideal conditions. It is important to note the SpeedLocker is not an approved firearm safe so it should be used as a portable quick access storage solution rather than a long term secure firearm storage device. Streamlight includes a container an Allen key and the mounting hardware needed to get the SpeedLocker set up and ready to use right out of the box.
