PS Products Griz Guard Features The PS Products Griz Guard Bear Spray is built around a 2 percent major capsaicinoid formula the most powerful concentration the EPA allows for bear deterrent products. When the trigger is pulled the aerosol can releases a rapidly deploying fog pattern that reaches out to 30 feet giving the user critical distance before an aggressive bear can close the gap. This wide fog pattern improves the odds of effective contact compared to a narrow stream since precise aim is difficult during a sudden high-stress encounter. Developed by a survivor of an actual grizzly bear attack the formula was designed specifically with that worst-case scenario in mind. The 7.9 oz aerosol can is sized to be carried comfortably in the field without becoming a burden on a pack or belt. A clip-on holster is included that attaches to clothing without requiring a belt and its design allows the spray to be deployed even while the can remains seated inside it. That quick-draw capability matters when a bear encounter leaves little time to react. For anyone planning to spend time in bear country the PS Products Griz Guard offers a trusted EPA-compliant layer of protection worth having on hand.
