Odin Works Bolt Carrier Group Features The Odin Works Bolt Carrier Group is engineered around a multi-caliber case head standard meaning it functions reliably across .308 Win 6.5 Creedmoor 6mm Creedmoor and other cartridges sharing the same case head dimensions. When AR owners step up from the AR-15 platform into the short-action AR-10 world differences in bolt carrier design can introduce a learning curve that this BCG helps smooth over by covering multiple popular chamberings in one part. A smaller diameter firing pin and matching firing pin hole are specifically engineered to aid performance and reliability with the higher chamber pressures these short-action cartridges generate compared to standard 5.56 loads. The carrier is compatible with AR-10 pattern rifles broadly including the widely used DPMS pattern giving builders flexibility regardless of which AR-10 variant they are running. A black nitride finish treats the carrier with a low-friction surface that reduces the need for heavy lubrication while improving resistance to corrosion and wear over thousands of cycles. At 18.2 ounces the carrier group carries the mass needed for reliable cycling in a larger AR-10 action without adding excess unnecessary weight. Builders assembling or upgrading an AR-10 rifle benefit from a BCG that does not lock them into a single cartridge choice should they want to switch barrels down the road. The Odin Works Bolt Carrier Group is available for sale at GrabAGun for AR-10 builders seeking a durable multi-caliber capable BCG.
