An adjustable locking block allows the cover to fit on most AK firearms while a dedicated recoil spring button is made specifically for the Alpha Series top cover. Two aluminum and two steel stability struts combine to create an extremely rigid lockup ensuring the railed section stays put and keeps dust and dirt from entering the action. The design maintains the factory rear sight with a lower one third cowitness sight picture for use with a red dot.
