Lightfield Less Lethal Shotgun Ammunition Features The Lightfield Double Ball load fires two lead projectiles per shell giving it a different impact profile than a single slug or a star shaped round. Chambered in the common 12 GA-2.75 inch format it functions in standard 12 gauge shotguns already found in most homes and duty setups. Firing two balls rather than one spreads the impact energy across a slightly wider area which can be an advantage in a close range less lethal scenario. This makes the Double Ball a useful complement to other less lethal shotgun loads in a defensive lineup. Packaged five shells to a box the Double Ball load is sized to fit easily into a range bag or nightstand storage alongside standard ammunition. Because it uses the same 2.75 inch shell length as typical 12 gauge buckshot and slugs there is no need for a dedicated firearm or modification to deploy it. Having a less lethal option ready to go gives shooters a graduated response before resorting to standard lethal ammunition. The Lightfield Double Ball is a straightforward purpose built addition to any 12 gauge shotgun s ammunition selection.
