Lee Precision Ready to Cast Features The Lee Precision Ready to Cast Kit centers on the Production Pot IV melter furnace which features a large deep pot holding approximately 10 pounds of lead and melts a full load in less than 20 minutes. Its pour spout is positioned up front where the caster can clearly see what they are doing improving both visibility and safety during pours. Infinite heat control lets the user dial in exactly the temperature needed while the furnace uses only 500 watts during heat-up and considerably less to maintain temperature once at working heat. A large stable base adds a layer of safety during operation and 4 inches of clearance under the spout accommodates all brands of bullet molds and most sinker molds. The included Lead Ladle is sized perfectly for casting bullets holding enough molten lead that the metal stays hot enough for the mold to produce quality bullets without fatiguing the caster through constant refills. It also doubles as a tool for stirring the alloy and skimming dross from the surface of the lead pot. The Mold Mallet is built from Ash hardwood the same wood species used in baseball bats and is used to gently tap the sprue plate to release finished bullets from the mold cavities.
