Konus Konuspy-18 Features The Konus Konuspy-18 is built around a digital sensor system that pushes magnification from 6x to 36x through a combination of optical and 2x digital zoom a range the manufacturer notes is unprecedented in the night vision industry. That reach lets the user scan wide areas at low power then punch in digitally to confirm identification at distance all from one handheld unit. A built-in illuminator throws supplemental light in total darkness extending the unit s usable range well past what ambient light alone would allow. The aluminum housing is anodized and fogproof and the unit is rated waterproof so it holds up through the damp low-light conditions where night vision gear typically gets used. Beyond raw magnification the Konuspy-18 doubles as a recording tool with photo and video capture saved directly to an internal 8GB SD card for later review or documentation. Three selectable palettes color black and white and green let the operator choose the display mode best suited to the ambient light and target type in front of them. A digital crosshair reticle supports range-finding tasks while auto shut-off helps preserve battery life between uses. At 10.2 oz and tripod adaptable the Konuspy-18 is compact enough for handheld glassing yet stable enough for extended observation sessions backed by Konus s manufacturer limited lifetime warranty.
