Johnny Stewart Open Reed Howler Features The Johnny Stewart Open Reed Howler uses an open reed design paired with a heavy reed to produce a range of coyote vocalizations including howls barks yips and whimpers. By manipulating the reed and varying air pressure hunters can shift between different coyote vocal patterns to suit the situation whether calling in a curious coyote or challenging a territorial one. This versatility makes the call useful across different stages of a predator hunt from locating animals to drawing them into shooting range. The mouth call format gives hunters hands-free operation once positioned keeping their hands free for a firearm or bow. Beyond standard coyote vocals the Open Reed Howler can also be manipulated to produce prey distress sounds adding another dimension to a hunter s calling sequence. This dual capability lets hunters combine vocalizations with prey sounds to create a more convincing and varied calling routine. Finished in a Black and Red color scheme the call is easy to identify and handle even in low light conditions before dawn. Predator hunters looking for a single call capable of producing both vocal and distress sounds will find the Open Reed Howler a versatile addition to their call lineup.
