Higdon Outdoors Beau Brooks Firebird Features The Higdon Outdoors Beau Brooks Firebird diaphragm call is cut specifically for callers who favor the left side of the mouth giving it a distinct feel compared to standard center cut calls. A smooth front end allows for clean effortless entry into soft clucks and purrs which matters when working a hung-up bird that needs subtle persuasion rather than aggressive calling. The crisp popping backend then delivers the sharp raspy cuts and yelps that can trigger a shock gobble or pull a tom the final few steps into range. This versatility across both soft and loud calling makes the Firebird useful throughout a variety of turkey hunting situations. Built with a latex reed the call produces consistent reliable tone across a range of calling pressures without requiring excessive breath control to sound realistic. Because it is a diaphragm call it allows fully hands-free operation letting a hunter keep a firearm or bow shouldered and ready while still working a bird vocally. This is a critical advantage in the final moments before a shot when movement must be kept to an absolute minimum. Turkey hunters who want a signature series call built for raspy cuts and yelps will find the Beau Brooks Firebird a dependable addition to their calling lineup.
