Grizzly Handgun Ammunition Features Grizzly Ammo loads this .45 ACP cartridge to +P pressure pushing a 230 grain jacketed hollow point bullet to approximately 1000 feet per second for 511 foot pounds of muzzle energy. That increase in velocity over a standard pressure .45 ACP load helps the hollow point expand more reliably while still carrying enough weight to penetrate effectively. Shooters running a .45 ACP pistol rated for +P pressures gain a meaningful performance advantage with this loading over typical range ammunition. The 230 grain bullet weight matches the classic .45 ACP standard keeping the round s recoil impulse familiar even at the higher pressure. Brass casings deliver the smooth dependable extraction and feeding that .45 ACP shooters expect whether running the round through a 1911 or a modern polymer framed pistol. The jacketed hollow point design is built to expand consistently on impact making this loading well suited to defensive use as well as serious range practice. Brass construction also allows reloaders to collect spent cases for future handloading.
