Grizzly Handgun Ammunition Features This Grizzly Ammo .40 S&W load pairs a 200 grain bullet with a full metal jacket flat point design combining the reliable feeding of a jacketed bullet with the clean easy to score hole a flat point profile leaves on paper. At a muzzle velocity of 1000 feet per second the round generates 444 foot pounds of energy giving the shooter a solid authoritative recoil impulse for practicing with a full power defensive caliber. The heavier 200 grain bullet weight also helps reduce muzzle flip compared to lighter loadings in the same caliber aiding faster follow up shots. This makes the load a practical choice for building familiarity with a .40 S&W handgun before carrying a defensive round. Each round is loaded in a brass case which reloaders can collect and reuse to offset the cost of repeated range trips. Packaged 20 rounds per box the ammunition is sized for a focused practice session without the bulk of a bulk pack purchase. The full metal jacket flat point bullet design is well suited to range and training use rather than hunting or defensive applications.
