Federal BackCountry Features Federal BackCountry loads the Berger Elite Hunter bullet a thin-jacket design that produces extreme hydrostatic shock and a massive wound cavity on impact for quick ethical harvests. The hybrid ogive blends the best aspects of tangent and secant nose shapes which means a flatter trajectory and less wind drift compared to conventional hunting bullets. A consistent core weight across the lot delivers more consistent ballistics and better accuracy at extended range. The boat-tail design provides an aerodynamic advantage at longer distances especially as the bullet transitions to subsonic velocities downrange. This 195 grain load generates a muzzle velocity of 2760 fps with a G1 ballistic coefficient of .755 numbers that translate to flatter trajectories and less holdover at extended hunting distances. Federal Premium components are loaded to incredibly tight tolerances giving hunters confidence in shot placement when it matters most. Packaged 20 rounds to a box this load provides enough rounds for sighting in and a full hunting season.
