Faxon Firearms Streamline Handguard Features The Faxon Firearms Streamline Handguard fuses Faxon s engineering with Lancer Systems carbon fiber expertise to create a free float handguard that maximizes carbon fiber s inherent strength and weight advantages. Carbon fiber is roughly ten times stronger than aluminum while being significantly lighter and at just 6.24 ounces the Streamline dramatically reduces the forward weight of an AR-15 build. The handguard mounts using a standard steel AR-15 barrel nut keeping the decades proven mounting system shooters already trust while still driving overall weight down. Eight complete M-LOK facets span the 10.2 inch length giving shooters ample room to attach accessories across multiple positions around the rail. Low heat transfer through the carbon fiber construction keeps the handguard comfortable to hold even through extended strings of fire or demanding duty cycles. The slim profile fits common suppressors under the rail and the handguard attaches with standard armorer s wrenches and tools so installation does not require any specialized equipment. Every unit ships complete with the steel barrel nut and all mounting hardware needed for a full installation. When mounted correctly the Streamline locks into position across all three axes delivering a stable rigid platform for shooters who want the maneuverability advantage of carbon fiber without sacrificing the durability demanded by competition or duty use.
