Eley Tenex Biathlon Features The Eley Tenex Biathlon fires a 40 grain flat nose lead solid bullet engineered specifically for the accuracy and reliability biathlon competition demands. A slightly reduced bullet diameter compared to standard .22 LR ammunition improves feeding consistency across the variety of straight pull and bolt action rifles used in the sport. An increased propellant charge gives the round extra energy helping maintain a flat trajectory and consistent point of impact at biathlon target distances. This attention to internal ballistics reflects Eley s reputation as a supplier trusted by international competitive shooters. Because biathlon competitions are often contested in freezing outdoor conditions Eley formulates the Tenex Biathlon load with a specially designed lubricant that maintains proper function and feeding at low temperatures. This cold weather formulation helps prevent the sluggish cycling and feeding issues that standard ammunition can experience once temperatures drop. Packed 50 rounds per box the Tenex Biathlon is sized for range sessions and competition use alike. For biathletes and precision rimfire shooters seeking dependable performance in cold weather Eley Tenex Biathlon is purpose built for the task.
