Desantis Thumb Break Scabbard Features The DeSantis Gunhide Thumb Break Scabbard is molded specifically for the Springfield Echelon 4 inch accommodating the pistol whether it is carrying a mounted optic or running with a bare slide. Exact molding to the pistol s dimensions produces a holster that holds the firearm securely without excessive movement while still allowing a smooth consistent draw stroke. A tension device built into the holster lets the user fine-tune retention to their preference balancing a fast draw against secure retention during daily activity. The thumb break strap adds an additional deliberate step of retention that must be cleared before the pistol can be drawn reducing the chance of an unauthorized grab. Constructed from genuine leather the holster develops a comfortable custom-molded fit to the carrier s body and firearm over time a quality synthetic materials rarely replicate. The outside waistband design positions the pistol to ride high keeping the grip accessible while helping conceal the holster under an untucked shirt or jacket. This Right Hand model is finished in classic black leather giving it a versatile look that pairs with both casual and more formal attire.
