AGM Thermal Target Features The AGM Thermal Target is a passive design meaning it requires no battery or additional heat source to create the thermal contrast needed for zeroing. Instead the target reflects the thermal energy of its environment most notably the cooler temperature of open sky acting essentially as a mirror for ambient thermal energy. This causes the target to read as cold against warmer background objects like trees or buildings when using a White-Hot palette and the reverse effect occurs when using a Black-Hot palette. The 1cm grid printed on the 15x15cm target face allows for precise repeatable correction of point of impact during the zeroing process. For best results AGM recommends mounting the target on a flat surface angled ten or more degrees from vertical so it properly reflects the colder sky above rather than the ground. This passive design works reliably in any weather during both day and night conditions making it a versatile choice regardless of when a shooter needs to zero their thermal scope. Constructed from a material engineered for natural thermal contrast the target maintains its high clarity and detail across repeated use in the field. The AGM Thermal Target 25 pack is an essential low cost accessory for anyone maintaining a thermal riflescope zero.
