Upland hunting signals the end of fall to most of the Midwest, as the weather cools and harvests begin. The pheasant hunters in South Dakota have a different need than the quail hunter of Georgia or the woodcock hunter of Minnesota. Some things are constant- there are usually few opportunities to shoot, the shot is almost always a surprise, and you don't want your ammo choice to let you down. Rio developed the Royal Pheasant Copper line for the avid pheasant hunter to includes 12 ga, 20 ga, and 28 ga. The premium copper-plated shot makes for humane harvesting.
