Quantum Merit Free Liner Spinning Rod and Reel Combo 7ft Medium 1 Pieces 10-17lb Gray/Black 4000. The Quantum Merit stands out as one of the few sealed Free-Liner reels on the market and the only one at its price point sealed to IPX6 standards. The Free-Liner system provides the angler with the capability to disengage the primary front drag activating a lighter adjustable rear drag. This function is optimal for live or dead bait allowing fish to take the bait without immediate resistance. Engagement of the front drag is achieved by a simple turn of the handle initiating direct control for the angler. With innovative Sealoq 6 technology the reel is sealed to IPX6 standards safeguarding its gearbox and drag system against water salt and sand. The graphite body and aluminum side plate provide a lightweight yet exceptionally strong and corrosion-resistant frame making it the ideal choice for boat kayak and surf fishing where salt and sand are constant challenges. The CFX200 Carbon Fiber Drag System redefines performance delivering a best-in-class maximum drag and an exceptionally smooth drag curve. Equipped with 4 stainless steel bearings and a Duraloq clutch the Merit ensures instant solid hook sets with zero back-play. Every internal component is treated with Proprietary Hot Sauce lubrication guaranteeing optimal performance and longevity right out of the box. With unmatched features at its price point the Quantum Merit delivers extraordinary value for serious anglers.
