This reel features a lightweight yet rigid magnesium frame and side plate keeping all internal components in perfect alignment for lasting smoothness and durability. The C40 Carbon Skeletal Rotor is designed to reduce weight while increasing strength delivering exceptionally balanced fatigue-free handling. At its core the reel features the AccuGear precision-machined aluminum drive gear ensuring an exceptionally smooth retrieval and extended gear life. The EvenLay slow oscillation system lays line evenly to reduce twists and maximize casting distance while the ClutchGuard protection system seals the clutch mechanism from water intrusion for dependable performance in harsh conditions. The hybrid carbon drag system delivers exceptionally strong smooth drag performance and the premium 11-bearing system ensures reliable fluid operation on every retrieve. Equipped with an aluminum braid-ready spool this reel allows braid to be tied directly to the spool without line slippage.
