The Pure Joy ski pairs with the JOY 9 GW SLR binding to make early days on snow feel manageable instead of overwhelming. A Better Balance Base sets a consistent ramp angle under the boot, so weight lands where it needs to for turn initiation before a new skier has built real edge control. The binding's light heel unit and forgiving DIN range keep release settings easy, so learning to fall doesn't feel like a setback. What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"My first day linking turns, the binding let go clean the one time I caught an edge, so a stumble never turned into something worse. That kind of trust let me try one more run instead of calling it early."
