evo.com | Blizzard Skis > With a huge sweet spot and an uncanny ability to make any conditions a pleasure, the Blizzard Black Pearl 94 Skis have proven an immense success with the all-mountain crowd, all the way from advanced intermediates to full on experts. The widest option in the "new" Black Pearl line - incorporation intricately layered True Blend cores and a multi-segmented FluxForm metal laminate - the Black Pearl 94 gets the call from corduroy to couloir. We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width. Full Sidewall Construction FluxForm W.S.D. Two pieces of Titanal run the length of the ski on either side and taper toward the extremities of the ski. Combined with separate composite plate underfoot, this construction allows for precise edge grip and dampening underfoot while allowing the tips and tails to flex freely. FluxForm varies according to model, with the Sheeva 9 using more metal than the 10 or 11. Sintered Graphite Base Rocker Camber Rocker Ski profile with rocker at the tip and tail, camber in the middle. Reducing the pressure on the edge at the tip and tail makes the ski even easier to handle and increases flotation on powder snow. The camber guarantees great grip on packed snow. The Attack binding that leads the way in sales among expert freeride skiers, and arguably the best band for the buck, the Tyrolia Attack 14 GW Ski Bindings deliver plenty of retention for all but the heaviest and gnarliest of skiers and are amazingly easy to get into and out of. With a low stand height and awesome elasticity when you're pushing it, the Attack 14 GW does everything you need it to without complaint. We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
