What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I carry this cord when I want the lightest possible line without giving up safety in sharp terrain. It feeds smoothly through progress-capture devices, hauls surprisingly well for its diameter, and the dynamic reserve adds a layer of security you don't get from standard cords. For long routes where grams matter, it earns its place."We reach for the Rap Line Protect Pro Dry Cord when the route demands efficiency, versatility, and a margin of safety without adding unnecessary weight. On big alpine days or extended multi-pitch objectives, this cord moves seamlessly from hauling kit to managing rappels, giving us dependable handling in exposed, technical terrain. Built with a blend of polyamide and aramid, it delivers increased cut resistance when loads shift across sharp edges-something that matters when the route above us is steep, blocky, or unpredictable. The Pro Dry treatment keeps the cord water-repellent and dirt-resistant, preserving supple handling even when the environment turns mixed or wet. With its low weight, dynamic reserve, and readiness straight out of the package, this cord becomes a trusted tool for alpine linkups, long rappels, and ambitious missions far from the valley.
