Thompson Center Encore Turkey Features The Thompson Center Encore Turkey pairs a 24 inch stainless barrel with a fully rifled choke bore producing the tight dense shot patterns turkey hunters rely on for clean ethical shots at range. Chambered for 3 inch 12 gauge shells the barrel handles today s heavy turkey loads without hesitation giving hunters confidence when reaching out to birds working just inside the edge of range. A fiber optic front sight provides a bright fast sight picture in the low-light conditions common during early morning turkey hunts helping hunters settle their aim quickly as a tom closes the distance. The receiver is drilled and tapped for optic mounting giving hunters the option to add a red dot for faster more precise aiming at longer distances where a bead sight alone can be harder to hold steady. The synthetic stock is finished in Mossy Oak Bottomland camouflage with FlexTech stock technology built in to absorb and reduce felt recoil from heavy turkey loads so repeated shots and range sessions stay comfortable rather than punishing. This lightweight single-shot break-action design keeps the overall package easy to carry through timber and brush during long hunts and the simple break-action operation makes loading and unloading straightforward in the field. An automatic hammer block safety adds a layer of protection during handling in blinds and while moving between setups. Built for hunters who value a dedicated purpose-specific platform the Encore Turkey brings Thompson Center s reputation for accuracy and reliability to a shotgun tailored specifically for spring turkey season giving dedicated turkey hunters a focused tool built around one job and built to do it well.
