Sterling Big Game Series Features The Sterling Big Game Series Tornado Slug is engineered to deliver dependable terminal performance on deer and other large game at the ranges typical of shotgun hunting. Each 1 oz slug leaves the muzzle at 1460 fps generating 1672 ft-lbs of muzzle energy which gives hunters confidence in a clean ethical harvest when shot placement is on target. The 2.75 shell length chambers in the widest range of 12 gauge shotguns making this load broadly compatible with pump and semi-auto hunting guns already in a hunter s safe. The brass and polymer casing construction balances reliable cycling with the toughness needed to handle a heavy slug load without deforming in the chamber. This Tornado Slug load works equally well for pre-season practice as it does for an actual hunt letting shooters verify point of impact with the exact ammunition they intend to carry into the field. Consistent muzzle velocity from round to round helps hunters build confidence in their slug gun s zero before opening day arrives. Sterling packages this load in a 10-round box giving hunters enough rounds to pattern their shotgun and still have a working supply for the season.
