Springfield Armory XD MOD4 Features The Springfield Armory XD MOD4 is engineered on the fourth-generation XD platform with a factory-milled black Melonite carbon steel slide that accepts industry-leading optic footprints directly without additional machining providing a seamless low-profile optic mounting solution that keeps the overall package slim and snag-free. Deeper front and rear slide serrations than previous XD generations allow positive deliberate manipulations under wet or gloved conditions and the aggressively textured polymer frame surface delivers a secure non-slip grip across the full range of dynamic shooting positions. The passive grip safety tactile loaded chamber indicator and striker-status indicator work as a layered passive safety system that provides chamber awareness and striker confirmation without interrupting the draw stroke or requiring a manual safety manipulation. For duty shooters and home defenders who need a fully featured 9mm platform with factory optic compatibility and a robust passive safety package the XD MOD.4 delivers everything on a proven trusted action. The flat-face trigger provides a consistent repeatable pull with a clean break that aids trigger control and shot timing while the fiber optic front sight and white dot rear sight deliver a fast intuitive acquisition picture for both close-quarters and distance defensive work. The Viridian RFX11 green dot included in this Gear Pac mounts directly to the optic-ready slide adding an always-on green dot aiming solution for low-light and dynamic environments and the four included magazines ensure the shooter is immediately equipped with a ready supply of 9mm ammunition at 16+1 capacity. At 1.69 lbs with a 4 barrel and an overall length of 7.30 the XD MOD.4 is sized for all-day carry or duty use without sacrificing the control surface and capacity of a full-profile pistol and the included pistol bag provides a quality carry solution right out of the box. The Springfield Armory XD MOD4 Gear Pac in 9mm is available for sale at GrabAGun for shooters who want a complete optic-equipped defensive pistol package with four magazines and a carry bag ready to deploy from day one.
