Rock Island Armory TCM Standard MS Features The Rock Island Armory TCM Standard MS is machined from 4140 ordnance steel and refined through a carefully managed hand-fitting process giving the action the tight tolerances that 1911 shooters expect from a quality-built platform. Its 4.2 inch ramped and bushing-type barrel with 11 degree crowning drives the .22 TCM cartridge to velocities exceeding 1850 fps while keeping felt recoil remarkably light letting shooters stay on target for fast accurate follow-up shots. The skeletonized hammer and trigger complete with an adjustable overtravel stop reduce reciprocating mass and sharpen trigger feel compared to standard 1911 components. A double-stack magazine well pushes capacity to 17 rounds well beyond what a traditional single-stack 1911 offers in the same caliber. Low-profile anti-snag sights round out the shooting package with a fixed fiber optic front post for fast target acquisition and a TRT1 adjustable rear sight for windage and elevation fine-tuning. Checkered polymer grip panels provide a secure comfortable hold while the durable PECVD coating resists corrosion and wear better than standard bluing. A beavertail grip safety and manual thumb safety give shooters redundant ergonomic safety controls consistent with the 1911 platform s proven design. Complete with two magazines and a gun lock this pistol is a compelling choice for shooters wanting a high-capacity 1911 with the ballistic advantages of the .22 TCM cartridge.
