Rock Island Armory 5.0 Standard Features The Rock Island Armory 5.0 Standard is built around an updated match-grade barrel with improved slide geometry engineered to tighten tolerances and deliver more consistent accuracy shot after shot. The single-action trigger breaks at approximately 4.5 pounds giving shooters a crisp predictable press that supports fast precise follow-up shots in both defensive and range scenarios. Aggressive slide serrations at the front and rear give a secure purchase for chambering checks and manipulation even with gloved or sweaty hands. Backed by new optics cuts and compatible plates the pistol is designed from the factory to accept a red dot without requiring aftermarket milling. Hand-fitted for tight tolerances the 5.0 Standard pairs a steel frame with glass-filled nylon grip panels that resist wear while keeping the pistol s overall weight manageable at just over two pounds. Night Fision sights come standard with a green fiber optic front post for fast target acquisition and a serrated black rear for a clean sight picture in bright conditions. The trigger safety adds a layer of drop-safety without interfering with the pistol s natural presentation from a holster. Finished in a durable 9mm caliber platform with a 17-round magazine the 5.0 Standard rounds out a package built for shooters who want a dependable everyday sidearm at an accessible price point.
