Keystone 722 Precision Compact Features The Keystone Sporting Arms 722 Precision Compact is built on a scaled-down bolt action sized specifically for smaller-statured shooters without sacrificing the accuracy Keystone rifles are known for. Chambered in .22 LR the rifle uses a 16.5 barrel with a 1-in-16 twist rate matched to standard and high-velocity .22 LR ammunition for consistent accuracy at typical rimfire distances. A two-position safety lever keeps the manual of arms simple which matters for new or younger shooters learning fundamentals on their first bolt-action rifle. The rifle feeds from a 7-round detachable magazine giving the shooter a manageable capacity for range sessions and small game hunting alike. The 722 Precision Compact pairs a genuine Walnut wood stock with a Blued metal finish giving the rifle a classic appearance that stands out from the synthetic-stocked rimfire rifles most manufacturers build at this price point. The fixed front sight paired with an adjustable rear sight lets a shooter zero the rifle for their preferred load without needing an optic right away though the action is easily suited to one later. At just 4 lbs unloaded and 32.5 overall the rifle is light and short enough for smaller shooters to shoulder and control comfortably. For parents introducing a young shooter to bolt-action rifles or for anyone wanting a compact classically finished .22 LR the 722 Precision Compact delivers real wood and steel construction in a rifle built to fit.
