IFG 1874 Sharps Sniper Features The IFG 1874 Sharps Sniper uses a falling block action that has been trusted since the 19th century for its strength and reliability when firing large-bore cartridges like the .45-70. Its single shot design demands a deliberate methodical shooting process that appeals to long-range black powder cartridge competitors and historical shooting enthusiasts alike. The 30 inch barrel provides extended sight radius for precise aiming and helps the .45-70 cartridge reach its full velocity potential downrange. This faithful reproduction lets modern shooters experience the same operating principles that made the original Sharps rifles legendary among 19th century marksmen. Faithfully reproduced by Pedersoli under the IFG brand the 1874 Sharps Sniper is built to the fit finish and dimensional standards collectors and competitive shooters expect from a premium reproduction rifle. Its traditional styling and classic lines make it as much a piece of shootable history as a functional firearm for the range. The rifle rewards patient precise shooting technique making it a favorite among long-range black powder cartridge silhouette competitors. For collectors and shooters seeking an authentic single shot rifle with genuine heritage appeal the 1874 Sharps Sniper delivers a complete package.
