Colt M5 Brace Pistol Features The Colt M5 Brace Pistol uses a direct gas impingement operating system paired with a chrome-lined 11.5-inch barrel finished in manganese phosphate for corrosion resistance and long service life a combination that keeps the bore protected against heat and fouling across extended range sessions. Full ambidextrous controls including the safety selector and magazine release let both right- and left-handed shooters run the pistol from either shoulder without compromise a meaningful advantage for agencies and instructors training shooters of mixed handedness. The enhanced upper receiver rail design adds rigidity that helps maintain zero on mounted optics even under sustained firing so a red dot or magnifier holds its point of impact through hard use. A single-stage mil-spec trigger provides a familiar predictable break for shooters already experienced on Colt s AR-platform rifles easing the transition from a full-size carbine to this compact pistol format. The SB Tactical SBA5 stabilizing brace attaches to a 6-position mil-spec buffer tube giving shooters an adjustable stable platform for one-handed or shoulder-braced firing that scales to different body types and shooting positions. A Magpul K2 pistol grip provides a comfortable textured gripping surface that complements the M-LOK handguard s mounting options for lights lasers and other accessories letting the pistol be configured for home defense range use or professional duty roles alike. Type III hard coat anodized 7075-T6 aluminum receivers stand up to the wear of repeated use in training and duty environments resisting corrosion and abrasion far better than standard finishes. Shipping with one 30-round Magpul PMAG the M5 Brace Pistol gives shooters a ready-to-run package built on Colt s proven M4 and M5 design lineage backed by the reliability that has defined Colt s military and law enforcement rifles for decades.
