Cimarron Firearms Thunderer Features The Cimarron Thunderer is built on an old-model pre-1896 style frame finished in color case hardening that produces a unique swirl pattern of blues and grays on every piece a traditional finishing method that gives each revolver its own individual character. The 3.5 barrel wears a deep blued finish that contrasts sharply against the case hardened frame for classic Old West styling. This single action revolver cycles through 6 rounds of .44-40 Winchester a cartridge with a long history in period-correct lever guns and revolvers alike. Shooters drawn to authentic Western firearms will appreciate this level of period-accurate finishing. The birds head walnut grip sets the Thunderer apart from standard plow-handle single actions offering a shorter more compact grip profile that many shooters find faster to draw and more comfortable for extended range sessions. Fixed sights and a standard trigger keep the action simple and reliable true to the revolvers this design is based on. At 2.49 lbs unloaded the Thunderer balances well in the hand for fast accurate single action shooting. For cowboy action competitors and Old West collectors alike the Cimarron Thunderer delivers authentic styling with dependable modern manufacturing.
