Cimarron Firearms 1890 Remington Features The Cimarron 1890 Remington faithfully recreates the classic Remington single action pattern giving shooters an authentic period piece for cowboy action competition historical reenactment or simple collecting. Its 5.5 inch barrel is finished in a deep blue that contrasts sharply against the case colored and hardened frame delivering the traditional two-tone look that defines this style of revolver. A standard hammer and trigger keep the manual of arms true to the original 1890 design requiring the hammer to be manually cocked before each shot. Fixed sights provide a simple reliable aiming reference suited to the moderate ranges typical of single action revolver shooting. Walnut grips complete the traditional look while providing a secure comfortable hold during firing and the 6 round cylinder is chambered to accept both .38 Special and .357 Magnum ammunition for added versatility at the range. At 40 ounces the revolver carries enough heft to feel substantial in the hand without becoming tiring to shoot over an extended cowboy action stage. Cimarron Firearms has built its reputation reproducing classic Old West firearms with historically accurate details and modern manufacturing reliability.
