DoubleTap SnakeShot Features DoubleTap s SnakeShot line reimagines the pistol shotshell for revolvers chambered in .500 SW packing 400 pieces of number 9 shot ahead of a hardcast full wadcutter for a two-stage effect on target. Because the shot does not spin with the rifling in the way a traditional shotshell would through a smoothbore the pattern stays tighter and more predictable at typical pest-control ranges. The hardcast wadcutter underneath the shot column is designed to penetrate and cut into the target adding a follow-through punch beyond the initial shot spread. Brass casings hold the load together reliably through the revolver s cylinder and extraction cycle. Rated at 1000 fps from a 4 barrel the SnakeShot load keeps recoil to noticeably gentler levels than a full-power .500 SW hunting round making it more comfortable to shoot in quick succession. This makes the load a practical option for property and pest defense where controllable fast follow-up shots matter as much as the initial hit. Packaged in 20-round boxes the SnakeShot gives revolver owners a dedicated small-game and snake load without switching firearms. For shooters wanting a purpose-built pest control cartridge DoubleTap s SnakeShot delivers a genuinely different option in .500 SW.
