What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I've been wearing the Shelter WP Boot on everything from snowy morning dog walks to full days on winter trails, and my feet have stayed dry and genuinely warm through all of it. The Contagrip Winter sole is the real standout for me, it bites into packed snow and slick pavement in a way that actually makes you feel sure-footed rather than just hoping for the best."Winter has a way of testing whatever you put on your feet, and the Salomon Shelter WP Boot was built specifically to pass. The Advanced Dry waterproof membrane locks out slush, puddles, and the kind of wet snow that finds its way into everything, while the ActiveWarm insulation keeps warmth working all day without making the boot feel stiff or bulky. Whether you are commuting through a slushy city or putting in miles on a snow-covered trail, the Shelter WP keeps conditions outside where they belong. The Contagrip Winter outsole is what gives this boot its confidence on tricky terrain. Engineered for traction on snow, ice, and cold, wet pavement, it bites where softer rubber compounds simply slip. A 12mm drop keeps your stride natural and comfortable over long hours on foot, and the midcut construction wraps the ankle with enough support to handle uneven winter ground without locking you into a heavy mountaineering boot. Lightweight enough to wear all day, capable enough to earn its keep when conditions get serious.
