What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I've put these through a mix of rocky singletrack and fire road, and the softer foam noticeably takes the edge off longer runs. The outsole has kept its grip on wet roots and loose gravel alike, which is exactly what I want from a do-it-all trail shoe."The trail kicks from packed dirt to loose scree without warning, and that's the moment On's Cloudvista 3 Trail Running Shoe earns its keep. Feet roll over rock instead of catching on it, momentum barely breaks, and the next climb is already underway before the terrain has a chance to slow things down. On's Helion superfoam midsole pairs with a two-prong Speedboard for a springy toe-off that helps maintain pace over rolling terrain, while the Missiongrip outsole bites into wet roots, loose gravel, and everything in between. A breathable, minimalist upper keeps things light and true to size, so the shoe stays out of the way while the terrain does the talking.
