The Helly Hansen LifaLoft Hooded Insulator Jacket is lighter and warmer than a standard insulated jacket, whether it's worn alone or layered under a shell. LIFALOFT(TM) insulation traps heat without the loft of a traditional puffer, so the whole jacket stays low-bulk without giving up warmth. An elastic hood and a full inner front placket seal out cold air at the two places it sneaks in fastest, and a DWR-treated shell sheds light moisture along the way. It's built to move easily between a quick errand and a full day outside. What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I packed this down small enough to stuff in a daypack, then pulled it out at the summit and stayed warm without adding any real weight to my load."
