Product Description The PROOF Research 121658 Carbon Fiber Barrel Blank is a precision-engineered bolt action barrel designed for serious long-range shooters and custom rifle builders. Chambered in .264 caliber with an 18-inch length and a 1:7.5 twist rate, this barrel blank is built in the Sendero Light contour - offering an ideal balance between weight reduction and stiffness. PROOF Research&';s proprietary carbon fiber wrapping process bonds a precision steel liner with aerospace-grade carbon fiber, dramatically reducing weight while maintaining exceptional rigidity and accuracy. With a shank diameter of 1.20 inches, a barrel breech of 2.5 inches, and a finished weight of just 2 lbs 7 oz, this blank is ideal for lightweight precision rifle builds without sacrificing performance. Product Highlights Carbon Fiber Construction: Aerospace-grade carbon fiber over a precision steel liner delivers superior stiffness-to-weight ratio and consistent accuracy across strings of fire. Sendero Light Contour: Purpose-built contour balances barrel profile for long-range precision applications while keeping overall rifle weight manageable. Optimized Twist Rate: 1:7.5 twist rate is ideal for stabilizing heavy .264 caliber projectiles, maximizing long-range performance and ballistic consistency. Bolt Action Ready: Designed specifically for bolt action platforms with a 1.20-inch shank diameter and 2.5-inch barrel breech for reliable fitment on custom precision builds. Lightweight Performance: At just 2 lbs 7 oz for an 18-inch barrel blank, this product significantly reduces the overall weight of a precision rifle system without compromising structural integrity.
