Product Description The PROOF RESEARCH PR15 PXT Barrel delivers elite-grade performance for AR-15 platform builds. Chambered in 223 Wylde, this barrel bridges the gap between .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO, accepting both cartridge types while providing enhanced accuracy over a standard 5.56 chamber. At 14.5 inches with a 1:7 twist rate, it is ideally suited for short-barreled rifle (SBR) configurations or builds using a pinned and welded muzzle device. The PXT designation represents PROOF RESEARCH&';s proprietary carbon fiber wrapping technology, which dramatically reduces barrel weight without sacrificing the rigidity, heat dissipation, or accuracy that demanding shooters require. Whether for professional use or precision sport shooting, this barrel reflects PROOF RESEARCH&';s commitment to uncompromising quality and innovation. Product Highlights 223 Wylde Chamber: Accepts both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition while delivering tighter accuracy than a standard 5.56 NATO chamber. Carbon Fiber PXT Construction: PROOF RESEARCH&';s carbon fiber wrapping process reduces overall barrel weight while maintaining superior stiffness and heat management. 1:7 Twist Rate: Optimized for stabilizing heavier projectiles commonly used in modern .223/5.56 loads, supporting a wide range of bullet weights. 14.5-Inch Length: Compact profile well suited for SBR builds or configurations with a permanently attached muzzle device to reach legal overall barrel length. AR-15 (PR15) Platform Compatibility: Engineered specifically for AR-15 pattern rifles, ensuring straightforward fitment with standard mil-spec components.
