The Mountain Ascent line continues Kimber's legacy of high-precision mountain rifles by combining the reliable 84M action with a match-grade barrel to create the ultimate enthusiast rifle that guarantees sub-MOA accuracy right out of the box. Each rifle also features a fluted bolt body and hollow bolt knob for reduced weight and improved ruggedness in the field and comes with a 3-position safety. New for 2026, Kimber's next generation of Mountain Ascent rifles feature a new featherweight composite stock provided by H-S Precision. The new stock features a more rigid, CNC-machined aluminum bedding block combined, a hybrid carbon fiber, fiberglass and kevlar construction, and a modern design aimed at improving the ergonomics for a more natural feel. The Peak series features a tan stock with a black marbling pattern and a Kimpro II Black receiver and barrel finish. This model is chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum and has a 4-round internal magazine capacity.
