The Lange Code 130 BOA LV GW Ski Boot holds its line at speeds a softer boot starts to give up, thanks to a 130 flex built on a race-inspired 97mm last. That stiffness doesn't come at the cost of the walk mode: an internal spoiler keeps the fixed-cuff feel and power transmission locked in on the way down, then an elastomer insert at the shell connection frees up a natural flex for the climb back up. A Friction Free Hinge keeps that climb smooth, and a BOA fit lower shell dials in precision closure without fumbling with buckles at the trailhead. What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I pushed into a rough, fast section that would have rattled a softer boot and felt the cuff hold rock solid the whole way through. That kind of stiffness only matters if the boot still lets me hike back up for another lap, and this one does."
