SKS rifle scope mount. Easy to install over existing receiver. Good for SKS of all makes, including Chinese Type 56 with original stocks. Will not fit SKS with aftermarket folding stocks A lightweight scope mount with Picatinny top rail right over the centerline of the receiver when installed. The mount allows use of iron sights from the opening under the mount and also the use of stripper clips to top load the magazine. The mount has a roll pin fixed in place at the front left side which rests against the top side of the receiver when properly installed. The mount is held by the replacement receiver cover retaining pin (the original retaining pin is not detachable by design. A stud on the side needs to be removed from the pin, or a key notch needs to be cut on the hole so that the pin is detachable ) and locked in place using two large set screws with pointed tips at the back side of the mount. The top base rail has 14 ring slots marked with numbers, which make it easier to set up eye relief and find more desired placement of the scope or red dot sight on top of the receiver. The scope rail is compatible with Weaver rings and also with red dot sights with Picatinny mount. The mount is of solid one-piece design and is machined from extruded aluminum alloy.
