Federal HST Features The Federal HST 147 grain JHP bullet is designed to expand reliably and hold together even after passing through heavy clothing or other barriers commonly encountered in real-world defensive situations. Its jacket-to-core bond keeps the bullet intact during expansion which helps maintain consistent penetration depth shot after shot. HST s reputation among law enforcement agencies comes from decades of proven repeatable performance in duty ammunition. This load feeds smoothly through a wide variety of 9mm platforms without the malfunctions that plague less refined defensive rounds. Packaged 50 rounds to a box this ammunition gives shooters a practical quantity for range verification of point of impact before committing to daily carry. Federal s quality control and consistent propellant metering deliver uniform velocity from round to round which matters when confidence in every shot counts. For concealed carry holders and duty officers who want a defensive round with a long track record of reliability the Federal HST remains a top choice in 9mm.
