Colt Firearms Commander Combat Features The Colt Firearms Combat Commander pairs a Novak white dot front sight with a serrated rear sight for a fast reliable sight picture even without an optic mounted and Colt s dual-spring recoil system smooths out felt recoil for quicker follow-up shots and more consistent cycling over a long range session. Angled slide serrations and a rounded hammer streamline manual racking and reduce the chance of snags during a reload under stress while the ambidextrous thumb safety accommodates both right and left-handed shooters. At roughly 33 ounces unloaded the pistol carries comfortably without feeling underweight in the hand. For shooters who want full 1911 performance in a package built for both range work and daily carry the Combat Commander delivers a well-rounded balance. The Black Cherry G10 grip panels provide a secure textured hold that stays grippy through repeated range sessions and the upswept beavertail combined with an undercut trigger guard lets shooters achieve a higher more consistent grip for better recoil control. A blued steel frame and slide finish offers classic 1911 styling while the stainless National Match barrel is built for tighter tolerances and improved accuracy over a standard barrel. For 1911 enthusiasts who want optics compatibility without giving up the platform s traditional look and feel the Colt Firearms Combat Commander is available for sale at GrabAGun.
