Custom Mark Lee Bolt-Action Sporting Rifle - No. 115 (7mm Rem Mag) Rare Custom Mark Lee Bolt-Action Sporting Rifle - No. 115, 7mm Rem Mag (Built c. 1982) with Zeiss Optics. Price: $3,100.00 Description: Offered for sale on behalf of the original owner is a highly collectible, custom sporting rifle built by legendary gunmaker and finish pioneer Mark Lee. Operating out of his dedicated custom shop for a brief window from 1979 to 1985, Mark Lee's personal rifle registry is incredibly limited, making verified builds like Rifle No. 115 a rare find for collectors of fine American gunsmithing. This rifle is built on a flawlessly contoured and polished Mauser 98 bolt-action mechanism and features a 24-inch custom-contoured barrel chambered in the powerful, versatile 7mm Remington Magnum-an excellent, flat-shooting choice for North American big game. It comes topped with a premium, period-correct Zeiss 3-9 x36 scope, offering crystal-clear glass that perfectly complements the vintage aesthetic and utility of this build. True to Mark Lee's enduring legacy as a master of metalwork and the creator of the industry-standard "Express Blue" formulas, the metal retains a magnificent, deep rust-blued finish executed during the peak era of his custom shop operations. The rifle features a premium, hand-selected walnut stock with elegant classic lines, fine line checkering, and expert inletting. Priced at a fair market value of $3,100.00, this is a phenomenal opportunity to acquire a true "guild-quality" custom rifle with single-owner provenance, showcasing the apex of 1980s custom American gunsmithing.
