What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I wore these on a scramble-heavy weekend and the articulated knees never once got in the way of a high step. The hidden zip pocket in back held my car key through the whole hike without me thinking about it once."A tough hike asks a lot of your pants: high steps over boulders, hours of sitting on rock breaks, scrambling up loose scree, and the Freebrook Pant is built to answer all of it. The nylon-elastane softshell moves with the mechanics of climbing and scrambling instead of fighting them, while the articulated knees bend freely with every step up. The contoured waistband sits higher in back for coverage when you're seated on a rock ledge, and the Low-Pro side waist adjustment tabs let you dial in fit without a belt digging in. A hidden zip pocket in back and a right thigh zip pocket keep essentials secure through the roughest terrain.
