What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I wore the Awe Hiker Mid HT Boot on a full day of mixed terrain hiking that pushed through wet sections and loose rocky trail, and the Hellytech membrane kept things completely dry while the Fast foam midsole made the long descents noticeably more comfortable than stiffer boots I have used in similar conditions. The Trail Grip outsole felt confident and planted on everything the day threw at it."Some trails earn their reputation by demanding everything from the boots on your feet, shifting from dry switchbacks to wet creek crossings to loose rocky ridgelines before the morning is done. The Helly Hansen Awe Hiker Mid HT Boot is designed to meet that kind of day head on, combining a Hellytech Waterproof membrane and HH Aqua-Shield construction to keep moisture out while the lightweight HH Fast foam midsole delivers dynamic, responsive cushioning that holds up through sustained efforts on uneven ground. Mid-height construction adds the ankle support and protection that longer hikes and technical terrain require, without loading the boot down with unnecessary bulk. The HH Trail Grip outsole pairs with HH Surround-Grip technology to deliver confident, multi-directional traction across the mixed surfaces that outdoor exploration consistently produces, from packed dirt to slick wet rock to loose trail debris. HH Pro Guard reinforces the toe and high-wear areas against the scuffs and impacts that rugged terrain delivers over the course of a long day, and the padded comfort collar wraps the ankle with a secure, comfortable fit that holds through miles of varied movement. Recycled laces, lining, webbing, and strobel complete a boot that brings trail-ready performance together with a construction built to respect the terrain it was made to explore.
